We have been looking for good online programs for people to check out. Well after doing some research I came across this online class that teaches you how to become a chocolate maker. Working with chocolate is an art and can become a great career. Here is just a little bit of what The Chocolate University has to say about there program. From the Desk of Bryn Kirk Re: Fun, Educational, and Delicious Chocolate Classes Dear Chocolate Lover, How do you feel when you are eating chocolate? What if you could feel that way all the time? Of course in reality you wouldn’t be able to eat chocolate all the time without it losing some of its appeal. It’s those moments when chocolate breaks through in your life that gives it that special feeling brought on by that taste you love. At Chocolate University Online we strive to give you the feeling of chocolate all the time. As a student, your mind will be focused on chocolate more than ever before. You will have more chocolate moments, and more enjoyment in those moments, as you gain insight into your favorite food.
I fancy myself as a bit of a licorice connoisseur. As a child every chance to pick up a red vine from a local store, well let’s just say I ate my share. I think one of my favorite memories was always my birthday. Mom would always get me the large tub of red licorice causing a sugar high for a good week or so. Well at some point I was introduced to black licorice with all its amazing goodness. What gives this amazing candy its great taste is the anise root. Did you know there is two spelling for this confection. Licorice for use westerners but most country’s spell it Liquorice. In fact some of the best black licorice I have had comes from the Dutch. They make it with a salty taste and a lot of it is made to be hard. Its very interesting to try. One piece of Venco Licorice and you will see what I mean. These hard little cats are made in Holland and really are amazing. My first piece I was trying to chew and quickly realized one piece was a challenge to eat. They are hard and yet soft as well with a hint of a salt and a great flavor. I know that doesn’t make much sense but if you are a black licorice fan do yourself a favor and pick up a bag. We sell that at www.thechocolatefrog.org as well as many other more traditional. old fashioned licorice wheels? Yes we have them. The Haribo company makes these great wheels and they are much softer then the Dutch’s black cats. As time goes on I will add more info about interesting types of licorice to try.
